1. There are a few things that drive me crazy. I can see this happening to me:

My husband just called to say his client dinner meeting will be at our house next week. But don’t worry, a BBQ will be fine. The problem—rain is in the forecast.

I’ve just been “volunteered” to host the soccer team’s season-end celebration—20 ten-year-olds, their coaches, and families.

My in-laws from out-of-state are coming to stay for a short visit and help with our new baby—which means major clean up of my personal work space (o.k., junk room) to get a guest bedroom in shape.

My teenage kids are taking over the downstairs family room—which leaves the rest of us without a place to kick-back and relax.

It’s been a hectic week; I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend with plenty of time to do the things I love. I step out of the office….and unlike my colleagues, I’m not thrilled to see six inches of new snow. Shoveling takes away from the stuff I really want to do—and, “if it’s to be it’s up to me” tells you I’m responsible for myself and my home.

I just walked in the door from an after-work client meeting. My roommate is sitting in front of the TV, a week’s worth of her laundry on the couch, pizza box with a half-devoured pepperoni pizza on my coffee table, her boyfriend and another of his friends lounging in the only two other comfy chairs in our place. I head for my bedroom for some space.

Maintaining our lawn and garden is just getting to be too much. My spouse is soooo meticulous. It’s not that I don’t enjoy our flowers, but the view doesn’t seem worth the aches.
