Great homes are built in part by great leadership. Michael R. Myers founded Regency Homes in 1986 with the belief that people of every lifestyle and budget should have the opportunity to experience the benefits of home ownership.

Today, Regency Homes is a team of dedicated professionals who, under the direction of Richard D. Moffitt, James M. Myers and James Cramer, Jr., work diligently to make Michael's vision a reality. Regency now builds over 1,000 homes annually in the Des Moines and Eastern Iowa area.

MICHAEL R. MYERS - Chairman of the Board

With the vision that everyone should be able to experience the benefits of home ownership, Michael R. Myers founded Regency Homes in 1986. Now building hundreds of dream homes annually, Mr. Myers’ management style fostered innovation and creative productivity that is still carried out at Regency Homes today.
 
Mr. Myers is remembered for his outstanding reputation and for his leadership in all areas of construction project management. Committed to the idea that all Americans deserve a home of their own and a place of business for which they can be proud, Mr. Myers actively sought to construct high-quality, modern facilities at an affordable cost.
 
Community stewardship is important to the Myers family. Mr. Myers believed in the principal of supporting organizations which mirror Regency’s values: integrity, honoring relationships, teamwork, excellence, and commitment. The Regency Foundation was founded to provide a way for individuals and organizations to contribute resources to causes important to cities where Regency homeowners live and work. The foundation has actively supported the CHARACTER COUNTS! program, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and America’s Family Coaches, as well as numerous other civic organizations.

RICHARD D. MOFFITT - CEO

Recently assuming the role of CEO of Regency Homes, Richard D. Moffitt brings an enormous amount of construction and development experience to the company. Mr. Moffitt has been building quality homes in Des Moines since 1971.

Mr. Moffitt enjoys an outstanding reputation for his performance as a builder and developer in the central Iowa area. His work ethic and high quality, rapid construction has earned him the respect of not only his competition, but of his peers as well.

Over the past few years, Mr. Moffitt has increased his focus within Regency, not only working on quality and productivity issues in the field, but also concentrating on product pricing and placement, marketing, land development, product design and long-range planning. His new role as CEO will enable him to focus on the development of Regency Homes' diverse business interests and business development.

JAMES CRAMER, JR. - President and COO

Recently named President and COO James Cramer, Jr. comes to Regency Homes with close to 30 years of experience in the home building and home design industry. He held senior management positions at seven leading firms in Washington D.C., Virginia, Ohio and Indiana. He most recently held the position of Vice President with Estridge Companies in Carmel, Indiana.

A licensed architect, Cramer has been instrumental in developing award-winning, customer-focused home designs that quickly became top sellers at his former companies. Cramer combines design with extreme "value engineering," which works to increase the value and quality of homes.

Cramer graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received an MBA in finance from George Mason University. He has received numerous professional awards including five "Finest in Family Living" awards from the Northern Virginia Homebuilders Association and seven MAME awards (Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence) from the Cincinnati Homebuilders Association for single family home designs. In addition he received Builder of the Year awards in both Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio.

JAMES M. MYERS - Vice President

James M. Myers brings a large amount of construction, development and management experience to the projects he works with. Mr. Myers has been working in the construction field his entire life receiving hands on training from working in all aspects of his family's businesses.

As Vice President of Regency Homes, L.C. and its affiliated entities, Mr. Myers has experience handling all aspects of management and development, including financing, budgeting, marketing, construction, supervision, leasing and management. Mr. Myers has the unique ability to develop highly successful projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

He has had a variety of experience in several facets of the Regency family of companies, including residential construction, residential development, commercial construction, property management and has been integral in the formation and development of several of the entrepreneurial ventures that are currently being maintained within Regency companies.
