Tom and Tracey’s home building experience began a little differently than most – they started by falling in love with a piece of land in Urbandale.

“We were driving around looking at houses and lots,” Tracey said, “and we came upon this lot that was on a cul-de-sac, and backed-up to a field with water and trees. It had everything we wanted.”

Tom and Tracey hadn’t decided on a builder, but when they found out the home site was owned by Regency Homes, they recalled Regency’s good reputation. Soon after, Tom and Tracy contacted Regency and began the process of choosing a home design.

“We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted before we visited the Design Studio, but they fine-tuned everything. They listened to what we wanted and would always give their opinions too.”

Over the years, Bob and Susan have built four homes—all with Regency. As their family grew, their home needs changed.

A little more than two years ago, David’s career led him to transfer his family from west Texas to the Midwest to begin a new life.

“We wanted to move into a house and know we wouldn’t have a lot of problems to deal with,” David said. “With a builder the size of Regency, you can assume the contractors they use are doing things the way they should, not cutting corners.”

Over the last two years, David and Sugar have been very pleased with Regency’s work and craftsmanship.

“We needed to use the two-year warranty just a few times, and Regency was very responsive. They even took care of a problem that I wasn’t sure was their responsibility.”

“As a young professional, I didn’t think I would like coming home from a long day at work and then having to shovel snow or mow the lawn. Plus, Cy and I are very young, and we’re both starting our Masters [degrees] next year, so we wanted more of a carefree lifestyle at first,” Meighan said.

“When we visited the condos, we knew right away we were getting more for our money. You could see that Regency went above and beyond with the open floor plan to ensure the second you open the door, it feels like a home.”

“The price was unbelievable,” Meighan said. “We ended up getting lots of upgrades, and it was still less than the cost of a townhome. Plus, we have a pool that we use at least once a week, a workout facility and a clubhouse – which we’re planning to use on Thanksgiving, the day before our wedding, to entertain friends and family.”
