Natural Vent Models

• Natural vent models have doors that open and close manually
• Operates by use of standing pilot light
• When wall switch is turned on, it sends a signal and ignites main burner
• Operate fireplace with doors open for maximum efficiency
• A slight gas odor may be emitted when unit is turned on; the odor will disappear within a few minutes
• Generic glass cleaner may be used to clean both sides of glass doors
• Never change the arrangement of the logs
• You may lightly dust or clean the log set occasionally
Fireplace Tips
• Keep the pilot flame lit during the cold winter season
• With a natural vent, shut down pilot flame if you feel small children may play with fireplace or be harmed by an open flame
• If pilot is lit after turned off for an extended period of time, you will probably have to bleed the gas line. To bleed the line:
a) depress and hold pilot button on gas valve for 30-45 seconds
b) depress the red piezo igniter button
c) once flame is lit, continue depressing pilot button for additional 30-45 seconds before moving it to the on position
• All fireplaces emit an odor when first used
• The odor will decrease with use
